Expansion of existing Boiler Plant of by installation of 9th Boiler of capacity 300 TPH and 36 MW Back Pressure Steam Turbine within existing Bokarao Steel Plant located at Bokaro Distt., in Jharkhand

The proposal is for expansion of existing Boiler Plant by installation of 9th Boiler of capacity 300 TPH and 36 MW Back Pressure Steam Turbine within existing Bokaro Steel Plant located at Bokaro Distt., in Jharkhand. Presently there are 8 Boilers fuelled by Coal (75%) and BF & CO Gas. Water consumption of the entire plant will be 7000 cum/hr which will be drawn from Cooling Pond of Steel Plant, which receives water from Tenughat Dam on Damodar River. Coal consumption will be 0.435 MTPA.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 3010 million

Finalization of TOR for foreshore facility for the construction of jetty, convey belt, sea-water (intake and outfall points pumping station and laying of 440 KV transmission line) at village Salav, District Raigad, Maharashtra by M/s Welspun Maxsteel Ltd

The proposal involves construction of jetty, conveyor belt, transmission line, sea water intake for proposed captive power and expansion of steel plants at village Salav, Dist. Raigad. Presently, imports 1.50 MTPA of iron ore. is proposed to handle steel scrap, limestone, and other additives. The proposal includes a Terminal with 3 berths along with mechanized materials handling facilities. Proposed for handling of barges with less than 3000 DWT. Approach trestle will be 0.3 to 0.5 km. Conveyor belt will be of 2-3 km. Natural draft in the
range of 3-4 m available and need minor maintenance dredging.

Expansion of Foundry unit from 60,000 MTPA to 1,50, 000 MTPA at Village Bevinahalli, Tehsil & District Koppal in Karnataka by M/s Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited

Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (KFIL) has submitted a proposal for expansion of cast Iron casting production capacity from 60,000 MTPA to 1,50,000 MTPA at Village Bevinahalli, Tehsil & District Koppal in Karnataka. The expansion will be within the existing premises of 3 acres. Green belt is covered inmore than 33% of the total land area. There is no reserved forest and historical monuments within vicinity of existing plant. Kasankandi protected forest is located at about 1 km distance.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 1690 million

It is informed that Halkundi area is not a notified industrial area. Proposed expansion will be carried out within the existing plant premises of 42 acres. Existing is 5.85 acres and 39.15 acre land is yet to be acquired for proposal .Proposed unit falls within 10 km distance from the interstate boundary

expansion will be carried out within the existing plant premises of 45 acres and if necessary, adjacent lands will be acquired. 9.89 acres land is acquired directly from the villagers for the proposed project. 35.11 acre land is yet to be acquired. Proposed unit falls within 10 km distance from the interstate boundary.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 1710 million

No. 276, Village Halkundi, Taluq & District Bellary, Karnataka. Total 18.5 Acres of land has been purchased directly from the villagers. It is informed that Halkundi area is not a notified industrial area. Proposed unit falls within 10 km distance from the interstate boundary.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 550 million

Proposed for 6.0 MTPA Green Field Integrated Steel Plant with 750 MW Captive Power Plant in Village Kuditini near Torangallu in District Bellary in Karnataka by M/s. Arcelor Mittal India Limited

Arcelor Mittal have proposed 6.0 MTPA Green Field Integrated Steel Plant with 750 MW Captive Power Plant at Village Kuditini near Torangallu in District Bellary in Karnataka. Total project area required will be 4500 acres. No forest land and wild life sanctuary is located within 10 km radius. The proponent informed that the Government of Karnataka will acquire 4500 acres of land at Village Kudatini in District Bellary in Karnataka. There will be about
1900 land oustees. Captive Power Plant of 750 MW will be installed of which 360 MW will be based on producer gas and 390 MW on Coal Based. A.P. State boundary is at 6 km distance.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 30,0000 million

Bhadrashree Steel & Power Ltd have proposed expand its Sponge Iron Plant ( from 200 TPD to 400 TPD) alongwith installation of Induction Furnace (2×10 T), Rolling Mill (60,000 TPA) and Captive Power Plant (15 MW: 8 MW WHRB, 7 MW FBC) within the existing premises at Village Kunikeri, Tq. & District Koppal, Karnataka. Proposed expansion will be carried out within the existing plant premises of 40 acres. Out of 40 acres of land area, 13.2 acres of area is earmarked for green belt development.

The project is estimated to cost Rs. 1460 million
