2×800 MW Super Critical Coal Based Thermal Power Plant at village s Churpuni, Srikhanda, Debkundu, Katwa, Kasigram, Khaner hat, Nanagar, Baghtona ,jajigram, Bandra, Begunkota and Sankhai, in Bardhaman District , in West Bengal.
The proposal is for setting up of 2×800 MW Super Critical Coal Based THERMAL POWER PLANT at village s Churpuni, Srikhanda, Debkundu, Katwa, Kasigram, Khaner hat, Nanagar, Baghtona ,jajigram, Bandra, Begunkota and Sankhai, in Bardhaman District , in West Bengal. Land requirement will be 1115 acres, which is an irrigated land. Out of 1115 acres land area, 680 acres will be used for proposed plant including green belt and 435 acres will be used for ash pond and pipeline corridor. Coal requirements will be 9.55 MTPA. Domestic and imported coal in a ratio of 70:30 will be used. Domestic coal will be obtained from Bengal EMTA and WBPDCL. Water requirement will be 96.072 MLD, which will be sourced from the Bhagirathi River through a pipeline about a distance of 5 km from the project site.
The project was considered for issuing ToR on Apr 4, 2011 and the ToR was issued on May 13, 2011
