5×660 (3300) MW Coal Based Thermal Power Plant at Village Bhadreswar, in Mundra Taluk, in District Kutch, in Gujarat
The proposal is for setting up of 5×660 MW Super Critical Technology (open cycle) Coal Based THERMAL POWER PLANT at Village Bhadreswar, in Mundra Taluk, in District Kutch, in Gujarat. The company is a subsidiary of Adani Power Ltd. Blended coal (imported and indigenous will be used) Coal requirement will be about 13.20 MTPA. Water will be obtained from Gulf of Kutch which is 3.5 kms away. Water required will be 5,25,000 cum/hr. Mithi River flows at a distance of 2.0 km from the site. Total land required will be 315 Ha. No forest land will be involved. No displacement of human habitation is involved. Imported Coal will be transported from Adani Port to the proposed site by railway line. Intake and outfall channel will be located after detailed study by NIO, Goa. Fly Ash generated will be used for cement manufacturing, bricks, roads etc. MoU with cement manufacturers are under process.
The project was considered for issuing ToR on Sep 10, 2009 and the ToR was issued on Nov 4, 2009
